Weight loss

Weight loss... past time to loose weight.
How am I succeeding?
It's NOT a diet.
It's all about changing eating habits.
It's all about eating healthier.
It's not about denial of favorite foods.
It is all about limits.

August 19th 2021.
Changed my eating habits.
Changed my mind set.
Beginning weight 255.5
44 waist getting tight.
Headed to 46 size pants
STOP... NOT HAPPENING.

Key objectives to be successful.

Daily log of everything eaten... With assigned calories. I use a spiral notebook... But there are apps if you prefer. Everything is measured. Created a reference log of items, measures & calories for favorite foods. Added up throughout the day to stay within targets. Original target was 1800-2000 calories per day. Daily averages have been 1600 per day. Some days higher, some a bit lower.  Originality was logging calories,  carbs,  and sugars.  Quickly found out that calorie limits controlled the carbs and the sugars substantially below target limits... So changed to only logging calories. It's a the tedious in the beginning, but as you compile the reference log,  it becomes less cumbersome.
August 2021 to January 2022... lost 14 pounds and am back into 42 waist pants ( they were in my hopeful closet).
Still pretty much eat everything I like,  just in limited quanitues and less frequently... like pizza 1-2 times a month.  Ice cream, cake, chocolate, etc... Don't deny yourself items of your favorite things even they may be high calorie content. If you want chocolate have apiece, but stay within you daily budget for calories. I usually have a glass of milk in the evening,  8oz = 100 calories,  and a York peppermint party (50 callories).
My reference calorie sheets... One for each meal... breakfast items, lunch items,  dinner items,  and snack items.  It gives you a quick easy reference when logging your daily foods.
Once you get the mind set for eating healthier it gets easy very quickly.
Note: foods that can help fill you up with lesser calories are a big help.  Fresh celery is a favorite snack, very low in calories,  add 2 tbsp of dip, 90 calories. Fresh tomatoes are very low.  Pickles are near zero.  And the new zero calorie sodas are to bad either. Of course nothing is better than a thermal flask with ice water.
So that's about it.  Once you change your mind set,  log everything you eat,  and are thinking about calories... It's much easier.  Much better than random diets that deny you your favorite foods of snacks.  Yes,  snacks... Get lifetime bowl,  and measures or count out the snack to control why dart you are eating.  Never eat our of the bag.

Well,  that's what's working for me.
Maybe a good plan for you to.
