Stress...
Lessons learned in life.
Our more accurately, lessons in life that are never learned.
30 something's... Still learning lessons the hard way.
20 something's... Don't even see anything as lesson.
Teens... I'm always right, why should I have to change.
So, what the conclusions. It's it a hopeless situation? Not encouraging when they keep doing everything that gets them upset. Repeating the same things over and over that is the source of emotional turmoil. Social media and texting with controversial topics. What makes it all the more intense, they are trapped in a emotional loop where they have extreme convictions on, well, just about every subject. Add to this, they get overly emotionally upset not only about things that personally affect them, but endless things that have no affect on their life what so ever. It seems to be a emotional habit the not only perpetuates itself, but intensifies as they become more enthralled in the emotional turmoil... resulting in a more desperate emotional state.
Hard to watch when it's family... And nothing you can say or do, advise wise, get through to them. Teens... Well, there is nothing to be done, they just have to learn the hard way as they make adult decisions in their teen years because they know everything. 20 something's are learning some things the hard way but still have time to get themselves out of this emotional pitfall, before it adversely affects their life.
30 something's or older that still haven't resolved these issues seem to be so entrenched in this negative behavior that after years of emotional turmoil sets them on a path to depression. Depression coupled with new emotionally disturbing issues pushes them deeper and deeper into overwhelming emotional distress.
So... What do the rest of us do to help? When the only one that can make a change is themselves.
