BALTIMORE RAVENS
Not surprised how the Ravens season ended. You can say it was all because of so many injuries that they have dealt with all season. Well, analyze the first half of the season to the last half. Week 1-9... Only 2 losses. Week 10-19... 7 losses. Finishing the season with 7 losses in a row. All the losses were close, a mere 8 points total on 6 of the losses.
Those 6 losses (actually all 7) ... Well you could say it was the perfect storm of several things coming together to account for the losses. As for me, only one thing stands out as the primary failure. The quarterback position. Be it Jackson or Huntley, turnovers by the quarterback along with multiple inaccurate throws, and just plainly bad decisions, account for the failure to win games. In 6 of those losses, they could have been wins even if only one of the mistakes by the quarterback position has not happened. Didn't even have to be perfect... Just not as bad. Like today's game, any one of the three turnovers by the quarterback could have changed the loss to a win. When the team wins, yes it's a team effort, and the quarterback gets moist of the credit. The same holds true for the losses... The quarterback takes the hit for the losses... especially when they personally account for 3 turnovers, and had numerous bad throws. The quarterback position is the teams weakest link. You can praise their running ability but basic failures to execute plays accurately with smart decisions tells the whole story. 7 losses in a row to finish the season... Something is decidedly wrong.
