Up, up, & away.
As they will... prices are always going up. More ways to make money are always being developed. Parking, admission, food, drinks, and snacks. Then there's the cost for extra privileges and preferential treatment... special tours, priority seating and fast passes to the most popular attractions and rides. Of course it all begins with staying at a Disney Resort Hotel or Villa which gives you preferred access to fast passes over general admission. Then there's the merchandise and keepsakes that you or or family simply must have. Add it all up... no, wait...ya really don't want to do that and see it all in once in one grand total. Sometimes I wonder just how high the prices can go before attendance declines. But prices goes up, attendance goes up, and for me the quality of the experience goes down with huge crowds and long wait times.
We made most if our visits during what I'd call the golden years for guests.... 2004 - 2011. Summers and Easter were to be avoided at all costs...but most of the fall, winter, and spring was fabulous... not over crowded... short or no wait lines for rides and attractions. On a busy day 20-30 minutes... on a slow day 10 minutes or less, with many a walk on, no waiting.
But now more than ever... crowds are much bigger, waits are much longer, and prices are reaching for the stars... or is it the moon?
But always remember... All magic comes with a price.
