Coming back?

Coming back? A mainstay for several years at Christmas was a series of lighted arches in Epcot.  They were on the bridge that connected future world to world showcase. Thousands of colored lights flashed in synchronization to the Trans- Siberian Orchestra Christmas song. Very bold and dramatic.  Around 2011, during a downturn in business at the parks the lights were not put up. That and the following couple of years was experiencing a down sizing of Christmas decorations throughout the parks and the Disney hotels. Talking with some of the decorating team I was told that because of the decline in business about half of the previous year's decorations were not being put up. Since we had been to Disney every Christmas since 2004, the decrease was especially noticeable to us. The lighted archways in Epcot were always a highlight and were truly missed. Here's a photo... they were really beautiful. Talking to another worker, I was told that they weren't put up because many of the lights were burnt out, and they couldn't get replace bulbs. Guess that's what they were told... Didn't make much sense to me given disneys resources. Nevertheless, they have been gone ever since. But rumor has it that they'll be returning this year. If so it will be a welcome treat for all.
