Truth in advertising

Truth in advertising. Now there's a major contradiction of terms.
All advertising is perhaps 90% misleading in some way, telling you a small portion of the truth. Like having a 99% reliability compared to the major cell carrier. And  that small bit of info is true... What they evade is the fact that once you get outside urban areas, especially in the country, coverage is very sporty, even non existent. They let you make assumptions that seem very favorable. Here's a great example of visual misrepresentstion ... 6 piece chicken pictured in a bucket... wow, a bucket. In reality it's simply 3 legs & 3 thighs on top of a empty bucket... but your mind sees a bucket of chicken. The same applies to the 8 piece bucket picture. Misleading? Yes, but covertly, as the fool your perception of getting more chicken. Remember the old saying... "there's a grain of truth in everything"... well, that applies especially to advertisements. It's what they don't say that makes a difference. And what they don't say is reliant on your assumptions to picture them as being more favorable.
