Real Bacon verses Turkey Bacon.

No matter how you look at it... Real Bacon is not healthy.

Turkey Bacon while it is said to be less unhealthy,  it still processed meat with many unhealthy issues factors. 

So how would you rate their unhealthy status? 
Real bacon on the healthy scale rates very high... 1/10.

Turkey bacon perhaps rates 4/10. Somewhat better. 

On the enjoyment taste scale... Real bacon rates the best 10/10.

Turkey bacon perhaps maybe 2/10. 

Turkey bacon? .... Looks and tastes like dog treats. 

But  enjoyment verses unhealthy issues is a personal decision. 
As for me... Real bacon wins all the time. 
I rather enjoy real bacon once or twice a week, moderation, verses turkey bacon more often. Of course,  when not eating any kind of bacon,  it's usually replaced by some other processed meat. Sausage, scrapple, or ham.... All in all that are not healthy choices either. 

So I will enjoy real bacon in moderation... yum! 
Turkey bacon is not in any plans.... Note or in the future. 

So as Turkey bacon becomes more popular as a healthy choice,  the demand for real bacon declines. Supply verses demand.

Real bacon costs less. Real Bacon cost less!

Good news for me. 
Our local county store sells really good bacon for $3.50 / pound.

Lucky me!

Final thought... 

You are going to die from something... Eventually. 
You might as well enjoy life along the way. 
Bacon... It's what's for breakfast. 

Grocery store bacon 

I think they are trying to get you healthy

but raising the price, to get you to cut back.

( and is not as good) 

$9.49 per pound... ouch.
