Faith

Not to insult you... Or change you beliefs... To each their own. Not intended to be controversial. We are all entitled to our own feelings an beliefs. Agree or disagree. Just another perspective.

I just like to question everything. There's always hope tempered with the perspective of reality... But faith? Not so much.

Faith... Doesn't faith require the human experience getting better rather than worse? Doesn't faith promise that there's hope for better things to come? How does faith survive when overall, the human experience is Continuingly getting worse, day by day, month by month, year-by-year. How does faith survive when life spirals into dispare more and more? How does faith survive with countless natural disasters that destroy life on a global scale? How does faith survive in the face of the pandemic creating death worldwide? At what point does faith and hope give way to the reality of death & dispare?

Those steadfast in faith are kinda like the guy that fell off the 20 story building. Passing the 15th  floor... so far so good. Passing the 10th floor... so far so good. Faced with ongoing social destruction and death... so far so good. Passing the 5th  floor on the way down... still hopeful, still having faith. So far, so good. I'll be saved!

They have faith, and say God is still in control and in charge. I guess that's a matter of perspective. If he is all powerful, and in control... Why are we in such a mess?

Believe as you will. Far be it for me to tell you what to believe. I'll be on the ground, waiting as the faithful keeps saying, so far, so good... until they hit bottom and reality becomes the new perspective.

Who's in control? Who's I charge? And Why aren't they doing a much, much better job?

Life is getting worse, not better.

Reality - "10"... Faith - "0". Hope - fading.

Perspective based on reality.
