Tavern food... as in Disney... as in Gastons Tavern. Was one of my favorite places in Magic Kingdom for a quick bite. Quick, easy, mostly undiscovered, reasonable prices, and great food. The pork shank was really good, and the hot cinnamon bun, huge by and standard, smothered in white icing and caramel was wonderful. Sad to say the pork shank was discontinued, and the cinnamon bun is smaller. But it was good while it lasted. Counter service food has always had its ups and downs. Over the years, not so good places get better... good places faltered. And they went up and down usually with changes in the menu. Even sit down restaurants have the same issues be it to a lesser degree. But there are the great memories of what was and what new places you will now find in the search for better than average food.
