You'll never see anything in the news media about the negative impact on society, resulting in even more social division, that was perpetrated by all those people that because they are offended, they wanted confederate statues and monuments torn down and removed. They were offended by the memory of slavery from 155 years ago and how it has negatively impacted their lives today. This all makes perfect sense to me, as I'm sure it would to any rational logical person (can you detect my sarcasm?). Another thing you well never hear via the media is how all these protesters that were offended, and either vandalized and tore down monuments and statues, or basically forced local governments to remove statues fearing violent demonstrations... just how much better is their lives today. I bet their entire lives have had a positive upswing and they are getting the respect they deserve... what a huge difference this has made in their lives! (again, are you feeling my sarcasm?).
Sad that there are those that need to blame history from 150 plus years ago, now spanning several generations, for their situation in life today. Instead if taking responsibility for themselves today...responsibility for their own short comings and failures. But... I could be missing something. But I have not heard a single thing about anyone's life, and their situation in life, getting any better because of their protests. No ones life is any better after the violence, vandalism, demonstrations, and after civil war statues and monuments have been removed. But... but... just perhaps they do feel better about themselves... now that they have something to blame. Absolutely nothing has gotten any better, nor has social issues that they bring upon themselves changed... They have most likely gotten worse. So what have they gained? Nothing! Other than to perpetrate more social unrest and social division.
