Hide n seek?
Playing hide n seek in an old cemetery on old hallows eve... pretty sure I only want to hide... and equally sure I don't want to seek out anybody or anything. Except for a way out. Thinking of the old saying... you don't have to be the fastest to get away... just need a good technique for tripping. Oops... did I mention... You're on your own.... but I'll go for help. Okay.
They know when it's dinner time. One of the nice advantages to staying at Disneys Animal Kingdom Lodge is seeing the animals right outside your room window and in the viewing areas.
Campfires... nothing compares to the ambience of a campfire. The cool evening and the warmth of the fire. The smell of the wood burning. The flickering of the flames and the crackle of the fire. The changing of the light & shadows in the trees. And there's nothing like a good bit of storytelling, preferably a little something on the scary side to pull it all together. Yep, nothing like a good campfire.
Comfort foods... roast beef sandwich on the fresh soft bun, boardwalk style french fries, and fried Claussen kosher pickles.
Gone but not forgotten. Disney used the double decker bus for several years but I haven't seen it for quiet some time. This photo from 2005 at Epcot, used for a character meet & greet. This was one of those special touches that really made it special.
Not all magic at disney is created by rides and shows. Often overlooked, the parks are filled with beautiful and exotic plants and flowers. Like the old saying... "stop to smell the roses"... be sure to stop to see the beautiful plants and flowers.
Perfect trick... no treats here.
Buy some Halloween skeleton bones, partically cover them with dirt under the new deck. Why? So that 20 years from now when someone re-does the deck they'll get a real Halloween trick without the treats.
Word of the day.... "clearly".
Understandably of English origins, it emphasizes the obvious. So if you didn't realize it before, clearly I will make it apparent to you now. It also provides some degree of, and hints, that clearly you must have missed what was obvious, indicating a minor shortcoming on your part. You're welcome. I didn't mind pointing it out to you at all... because clearly you were oblivious to the issue at hand. Clearly you require help from time to time, and I have no problem making the obvious clear to you. Again you are welcome. What I can not understand is why some people, in particular a wife, would have such resentment for the work "clearly". It merely indicates my willingness to simply help you understand something. Right? Such is one of the wonders in life.
We've always enjoyed Epcot . Not withstanding the rides, shows, or even restaurants, be it sit down or counter service. We've always enjoyed just casually walking around, enjoying the atmosphere and people watching. Casual photography has always been enjoyable. The right natural lighting, sky, water, trees... light, shadow, angles and perspective. They all combine to make a mere snapshot into a vivid memory. Recalling the moment and all the things you saw, heard, and felt, and the joy of that moment, frozen in time via a photograph, for you to relive over and over again. So they're not merely a snapshot... It's a bit of your life. Even seeing photos that others took and shared, can bring back fond memories of your experiences that you don't have a photo of, and perhaps forgot. Here's to the memories.
So... dream or reality? Dreams are a funny thing to say the least. Some are good, some are bad, and most are forgotten soon after you're awake. Some wake you up in the middle of the night. On rare occasions some are like premonitions that coincidentally seem to become reality at sometime in the future, often that same day. Sometimes they're weird. Like remembering that you woke up in the middle of the night with numb thumbs. So what does it mean... Idoeno. Dream or reality? Not sure. But I'm gonna be careful with my hands/thumbs today. Premonition or superstitious... nah. Well, perhaps a little. Dreams in the past have proven to see the future, be it somewhat cloudy in details... or its merely coincidence. So why do I sometimes feel that I'm about to enter... The Twilight Zone. Nah.. too much TV... right?
Call it what you will... perhaps a voice from beyond... a supernatural occurance... a sign of some kind... or just sheer coincidence. In any event, a bit eerie.
