Well, time always marches on. From one era to another. Mere decades later, the places that were once cherished memories of the folks my age, they got old, like us. They are being pushed aside, just like us... replaced by things of interest to younger generations. And while new and exciting is great for business, older things are replaced, lost forever. Disney is great or replacing the old, with the new. The parks are land locked, the only way new things can come to be, is to replace something else. And while the older classic places/attractions may not have any appeal to younger folks... they will be missed by the older generation they view them as classics. Now simply discarded. So many things have been changed... been eliminated... Destroyed and demolished... gone, but for memories. We seen so many beloved places in are memories ...now gone... we find it difficult to return to disney. Dispite new and exciting attractions, reconciling things lost would only deminish the experience. So many changes, so many things gone.
The latest scheduled to disappear... the Liberty Belle Riverboat... the Rivers of America... and Tom Sawyer island.
Younger folks visiting the parks will never miss what once was... or what it once meant.
