Service Stations

Service Stations... That's what they use to call gas stations.
You drive up in your car... The bell would go "ding-ding" to alert the attendants that you were there. Two or three, sometimes four attendants would run out to greet you and service your car.  One to pump your gas,  one to check your oil,  one to check your tire pressure, and one to watch windows. All for the price of 27.9 cents per gallon. Cars were bigger back then and had 20 gallon gas tanks... So a 20 gallon fill up would cost $5.60.

Yep... I remember those days.
