Polls... polling people and the results have always been somewhat subjective and their conclusions somewhat questionable. After all, how much do you trust the way polls were taken. Too many times polls are taken with an objective in mind to create a polling environment to get results in accordance with their agenda as to a preferred outcome. Most are on average somewhat honest and collectively over time show a trend that is probably a bit more reliable and accurate. Over the past 60 years trust in government and politicians in general has been declining to reach the all time lows that we have today. Lawyers and politicians according to one survey barely rank above prostitutes, sighting that at leat with prostitutes you get what you bargained for. Now I don't know about that... But it certainly seems likely to me.
So what happens when society looses trust in their government? Probably nothing good. Here's s a couple of articles to tell you what you already know or feel is true. Take from it what you will... with the knowledge that everything... Absolutely every bit of information that is presented to you via whatever media... there is an agenda to influence you emotionally to someone elses way of thinking. Half truths, misinformation, or out right lies and receptions all designed to emotionally influence you and your decisions. So who should you trust? Well... on a scale of trust and ethical integrity politicians and the media don't rank too good. So why do so many people jump on their emotional bandwagon to support them... or more to the point... hate and oppose the other person or candidate. After all, its not about who's the best... It's about shouting at the too of your voice who's the worst. So who's influencing you emotionally to control what you think and feel? When the thoughts and minds of people are greatly influenced by politicians and the media that are bias and have agendas to get you to emotionally support them... well, it use to be called propaganda. So who's influenced via political propaganda? You? Just something to think about. So you do you really trust, and why? Overall polls say that politicians and the media trust and ethics levels are at an all time low... so why are so many people influence by them? Trust in government is at an all time low. So if we as a society say we can't trust them... why do we listen to them? Think for yourself rather than letting them think for you. I remember hearing too many people say that voting is the choice between the lessor of two evils... sadly, they're right.
