The culmination of imagination influenced by the Halloween season, horror movies, and the irrational subconscious, brought to life during dreams while in a deep sleep... so real as to induce a mental and physical realization to disbelief... the twilight zone if you will of the mind... first torturing the rational mind... inciting fear and unrest... and finally waking you to the real world from that of your unconscious imagination. It was simply a dream... a disturbing dream... a nightmare... or was it somehow based in an alternate reality not perceived in a conscious rational reality.
