Leading by example...
There's positive examples and then there are negative examples as to how society should live. Unfortunately there are much bigger and powerful negative influences affecting society today.
Leading by negative examples that affect everyone... year after year, and decade after decade of in your face everyday influence ... they have lead by bad examples.
Who has lead by bad examples over the eons if time? Politics & religions that's who.
Political factions don't attempt to get along (constantly at odds with each other) and religious factions continue to escalate social division on every issue, every day, trying to influence and control how everyone should live. Politicians against politicians, political supporters against supporters, religions against other religions.... they have been and always will be at odds with anyone that doesn't hold with their beliefs. There's been several hundred years of political and religious dissension that divides society showing everyone that its okay to promote hatred, prejudice and persecute anyone or any group that doesn't share their beliefs.
Yep... religions and political parties have lead by example... a bad example on how to divide society into factions to will always be at odds... so there can never be any peace. In its purest form they appear only to seek the best for society, as to seem attractive to the masses, but intimately try to assert their will and influence upon others, creating social division and social unrest.
They have said that greed & money is the source of all evil. Social control and power over the masses, coupled with greed & money as perpetuated by religions and politics is certainly the ultimate source of all evil.
They have taught, and taught very well, that everyone should be offended by anything that doesn't fit their perspective on life. Be offended, be vocal, demonstrate... and don't worry if it leads to violence.
They have taught that just because a vote is won by a majority, it doesn't mean you should stop opposing, demonstrating, and disrupting positive progress.
That's why were have a country socially divided on just about every issue, where sides can not come to any agreement on anything... and nothing positive is ever accomplished. The sides spend all their time fighting each other.
They have lead by example... and have taught us well.
