Thought for the day. Inspiration and creativity. So what inspires you? Everything about the human condition is motivated and inspired. From the basic action of getting up and going through everyday life, to thoughts of grandeur, hopes and dreams for things to come. Inspiration, motivation, and creativity. They all change somewhat as you get older, and the day to day commitments of adult life that consumed most of your days, give way to retirement and more free time. More time to do things, time to think, time to create new life experiences. So what will inspire you? What will motivate you? What will turn your creativity loose? Some days this is easy… and some days a bit of a search. As health, the economy, and the whole American system that seems to be going up in smoke invades your daily life, inspiration becomes harder to find. Those that are more easy going and have a positive outlook seem to deal with life’s negative intrusions a bit better. Others fall into a increasingly more negative existence… one filled with the mundane, less then ordinary, negative existence… to the point that they don’t even see the lack of inspiration, and have little or no motivation or creativity. Just having existence… merely sounds like a slow death. So what will you find to motivate you today? What will be the spark that fires up your imagination and creativity? I consider myself a good natured, positive, and well adjusted and centered despite the negative impacts of health, the economy, politics & crime… but the relentless encroachment of “negative” always seems to attack “inspiration” and “creativity”. Most people experience this sometimes a “up & down” swing… with hopefully with more ups, then downs. So what inspires you? Hopefully you can always easily find your own inspiration and creativity every day. Look for it, expect it, and live it! Just a simple thought for today.
Well wishes for a great day today, and a better day tomorrow. It’s all up to you.
Perhaps that’s why so many people find solace in religions, but that’s another story… one that I usually try to avoid… avoid almost as much as politics. At least Religions bring hope to many that believe in something positive. Belief in the good nature of politics… well… that’s called wishful thinking, or false hope. Those that proclaim how great their party is…well… they simply avoid the truth and the facts of past performance. But that too is another story that you know all too well… and are better for not thinking too much about.
