Just Something to think about. Find a quiet part of the day, open your mind, and just think about it.
There are lots of things were take for granted, and sometimes things that we don’t really think about much at all… they’re just there, somewhere in the background of conscious thoughts. But if you stop and think about each one, and how it applies to things in your life… well… it opens up several lines of thought. Thoughts that may not be conventional with those of society in general. Things you were taught, and things you even live by, never questioned, that now would give you pause, if only you questioned them. Sometimes it may be good to not only look outside the box, but in the box… but be aware, this will generally conflict with the doctrine of society. Be it governmental, religious, work, or family… thinking opposite or differently then what society as a whole considers “normal or acceptable” means two things. Growth & expansion of your thoughts and mind, and criticism for not conforming to what society deems acceptable. Of course there’s always those that, no matter the situation, would condemn you because you view something differently then them. Having said that, consider what you have been taught, what you live by, and the “truth” and “facts” of it all. Apply each of the following words as they apply to your thoughts. Look at things in a different perspective, even if just for a moment. Consider the implications… perhaps it will in some degree change your perception… or merely reinforce everything that you were taught. But this exercise is to seriously and deeply think, and not merely accept what you have been taught and conditioned to “believe”. Believe / belief… another word that sometimes is too loosely applied to many things as being truth and factual. How the meaning of each word relates to each other… and the beliefs that you live by.
For your consideration:
Some might consider all of these to basically mean the same thing.
They have become so intertwined that they all run together and loose their individual meanings.
Some may see how each word differently applies to the topic being applied to.
Some may dismiss all this a falderal.
Some may actually examine and open new lines of thought.
But the most important thing is to …
T H I N K
and not blindly accept what you have been taught.
Question it… and apply it as you would.
So what to we get from all this? Not to put too fine a point on it, but that’s up to you. Think about it, analyze things, consider alternatives, accept or reject, alter your perspective as you wish. It’s not my intent to change you, but for you to examine yourself beyond the influence of what you were taught… draw your own conclusions… and be what you will… perhaps a little bit more of your own person.
Just something to think about…
in the quiet of the morning or late at night.
