Starlink

The Power of Technology... Starlink

July 24th, Thursday afternoon (eastern U.S.)
Starlink Worldwide went down for 2-1/2 hours.

Just imagine the power of technology,  and what the world would be like if that technology stopped.

Most people probably didn't notice.  Starlink is used primarily in rural areas where conventional internet service is supplied by optic cable (basically hardwired).

For the 61,000 customers that live in areas where internet is not available... It was a total blackout.
No internet access,  no streaming of music or television programs... and no phone service. Total isolation.

Companies and even some military uses Starlink.
Perhaps this were the reason for the possible cyber attack... To affect companies... and blind the military of countries using this service.

The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently... this time... Which is hopefully the last. It not a good feeling to be totally isolated from the world... In the dark about everything happening. Scary if it went down for days or longer. Could miss out on the beginning of WWIII.
