Hot Days... Evening Rewards
There's no doubt we are in the dog days of summer. Too hot to do anything outside during the day... too hot for the dogs to be outside. But every negative has a positive.
As the hot daytime temperatures give way to the evening, the mere fact that the sun is setting makes everything feel cooler. And the sunsets are spectacular.
The whole day is made worthwhile when the sun sets... then the dusk reveals one of nature's wonders ... the fireflies, or as we were raised to call them... lightning bugs. Little twinkles of light dotting the air against the dark tree line. There's a bit of coolness to the evening breeze and the stars begin to appear in the sky.
