SOCIAL MEDIA
What can one say about social media:
It can be informative. If you can believe half of what you read.
It can be educational. Again, how much it really factual?
It can be funny. Many posts will make you smile.
You can see what friends are doing. Loosing popularity fast.
And then, the negative influences. The flood gates are open.
The government is worried about Tiktok. I couldn't say, I'm not on it. But I do see some Tiktok that filters onto Instagram, usually the funny ones. And they are amusing.
Now, into the more serious concerns:

Now, into the more serious concerns:
People that put to much information out there and are open to idenity theft issues. Stupid is as stupid does.
Mis-informstion... At best, Not the whole story.
Mis-informstion... At best, Not the whole story.
Most stories are slated to incite a negative emotional response. Posted by a person or group that has an agenda to influence you to their way of thinking or their beliefs.
Some are outright lies... False stores to negatively affect people. Again to influence you, out create a negative emotional response.
Some are outright lies... False stores to negatively affect people. Again to influence you, out create a negative emotional response.
Some with an agenda... Some just for the hell of it.
But the real danger of social media is that people will believe what they see on the internet as being factual... The whole truth... And what's worse, others will tell you what to think, how to feel, and who to hate. And the vast majority will blindly follow. Creating person emotional turmoil and drama, which is being spread to everyone they come into contact with. So much anger, hate, and false information being feed to people that have been conditioned to believe and buy into all that negatively.
SO BEWARE OF WHAT YOU SEE
ON SOCIAL MEDIA.
THEY ARE COUNTING ON PEOPLE THAT
CAN NOT, AND WILL NOT,
THINK FOR THEMSELVES.
IN 1939, an ill-fated radio broadcast was just a work of fiction, meant to be merely entertainment. It was Halloween, and the broadcast was merely an attempt to go "boo" ... to scare and amuse... After all, it was Halloween.
But in the still young media of radio (TVs were not here yet), people gathered around the radio to get the news and be entertained by radio shows and music. Millions of people took the broadcast serious, and thought that the earth was being invaded by Martians... killing everyone and destroying cities. 1939, and Orson Welles, War of the Worlds, sent the country into panic... as if was realty happening. Never underestimate the power of the media to influence the mind and actions of others.
That's the real power of social media today. To influence people that can not think for themselves and rationally see that social media is filled with dis-information all to create an emotional negative response. Constantly dividing society. Creating crisis after crisis. And who to blame. You might say that people are more educated than people back in 1939. And while this may be true, social media is still smarter to influence today's society.

JUST STOP... TAKE A CLOSER LOOK
A THINK FOR YOURSELF.
ASIDE FROM FUNNY STORIES,
THERE'S NOT MUCH
ON SOCIAL MEDIA
THAT IS THE TRUTH AND FACTUAL.
Someday... Social media
Someday... Social media
Will again spread panic.
Just like in 1939.
