Samsung S25 Ultra
Phone Upgrade.
Went into the AT&T store with a question. About my current phone, Samsung S22 Ultra... which I love! Walked into a deal for an upgrade. They gave me a New S25 Ultra 512gb in exchange for my trade in, the S22. The catch... stay with AT&T for three years. Well, we weren't going to switch anyway. That's the only service we can get at the house. The phones are virtually the same except for some upgraded features... plus the phone, and battery is 3 1/2 years newer. That's a win-win! Transfer was easy. Everything tranferred to the new phone, all apps, all settings, all 22,000 photos, even the home screen placement of apps & home page photo. I just had to verify some passwords for some apps. Figured I'd have my S22 for 3 more years, its works just like new, but could turn down the upgrade. OVERALL: There doesn't seem to be any great improvements over my S22.
If I had to outright buy this phone, it would not be worth the expense, and I'd keptnmy S22.
Some of my biggest points:
The battery is 3 years newer.
The edges are now flat, I was never a fan of the curved edges.
The transition was virtually seemless.
The transition was virtually seemless.
Some improved software... Ram + Ai supported features and the latest processors.
So, I've increased the longevity of my phone from my original plan of 5-6 years for the S22 to now 8-9 years from my original purchase. Sounds improbable, but in reality I'm not one of those people that had to have the best a lastest. I've always kept all my phones for their maximum life until of have no choice but to replace it. But given the current deal... trade-in plus incentives it was basically a free upgrade. Just the commitment to AT&T service fir the next 36 months, which was no issue. They have the new phone price divided into 36 payments, each accompanied by an equal credit of the same amount, effectively making the phone upgrade free. There was a $3 difference to pay each month for tge 512 Gb memory, but thus was offset by the overall bill dropping by $12 with incentives.

Overall... I expect the same performance and reliability from my new s25 Ultra as I got from my s22 ultra. The only real out of pocket expense was the tax $75, and transfer $35.
BTW... I am definitely an Android person. It works in sync with the way I think... How my mind works. In the beginning, I had an iPhone 4, was out of date and obsolete basically 6 months after I got it, technology passed it by very quickly. Changed to Android. And 3 years ago I got an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Worked as a phone great... nice camera. But, it was contrary to how I though things should work. Basically, I hated it... Especially how the photo albums worked. Traded in for an S22 Ultra. Loved it 100%. Happy ever since. Basically, you couldn't give me an iPhone. But to each their own.
I'm happy with Samsung.
