The End of the Line...
Me... Only child of an only child.
I had no children.
All grandparents gone.
Parents... Gone.
I had no children.
All grandparents gone.
Parents... Gone.
No living relatives.
(Save a 2nd cousin)
End of the family line.
I am the last one to remember family.
After me... There is one to remember.
Kinda sad.
Kinda sad.
But like most families...
Beyond grandparents,
Clearly beyond great grandparents...
Everyone is forgotte... eventually.
List to time.
The era of remembering & honoring family
mostly ended with my parents.
Keeping in touch, visiting graves.
Keeping in touch, visiting graves.
Faded away with me.
Beyond me... Completely gone.
Current family (marriage) will remember me...
Beyond me... Completely gone.
Current family (marriage) will remember me...
But no one before me.
I guess sooner or later...
I guess sooner or later...
Everyone fades from memories.
List in time.
List in time.
The moral to the story...
While you still have living parents, grand parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, or even great grandparents... talk to them about their lives, and family history. Because, sooner or later, they will be gone, and that will be too late. And all you will be left with is unanswered questions.
Forever.
