I've always been intrigued by castles. From childhood to adult. As of school age, I always thought it would be great to be an archaeologist. Go to ancient places in history, perhaps make new discoveries. Ancient structures including castles .... what a thrill to actually see them in person and explore them.
Archaeology... a dream never realized. But there's still the attraction of castles. Now, too old, retired, and even though I enjoy traveling...
But have no hope of seeing them in person. I've had a great life.. but the dream of visiting castles will remain unrealized.
I'd think... Maybe someday... But that's just a dream.
