And at the time of filming Dirty Dancing...

The Lake... Once upon a time.

 Unfortunately... on our visits...

The beautiful lake was drained by nature...

Now a dried lake bed.

As history repeats iitself.

Every 150-200 years the lake refills,

and then drains, and refills again.

Perception

Perception 

Perception is the biggest development 

in human evolutionary history. 

Bigger then conscious thought... bigger than unconscious thoughts... bigger than imagination... bigger than personal experience... bigger than every outside influence. All of these things and more,  all combine to give everyone their own individual perception, of themselves, others, and the world we all live in. 
Worse yet, are influences of politics and the media that distort the truth and the facts to soot their own agendas. Add to this the influence of religions to not only distortion your perceptions, but try to tell everyone how to live, who to judge & persecute, and what to believe. And there will be condemnation for all that don't follow those same beliefs.  All in all, if you can not think for yourself,  they will all tell you what to think, how to feel, who to blame, and control you mentally and emotionally. 

Your perception is influenced by everything. And if you can't think for yourself,  then you will be controlled in part or mostly by those influences... politics, the media, and religion... all having their own agendas to get you to believe and follow what they want.

So... Think for yourself and take all outside influences with caution. Clearly politics, the media, and religions can not be trusted... And if you believe otherwise... You are already lost to their influence... Negatively influencing your perspective. But it's been that way since the beginning of civilizations. 

Be careful who & what you believe.

Be care who you trust

to influence your perception.

Question everything

to the point of thinking everything is

in some part... a conspiracy. 

Much better than blindly accepting

Everything as factual & truthful.

Mystical influences

Open minds ... Open possibilities.

So,  what can you trust the most?

Yourself!

What you see... What you can touch...

What you can hear... What you can smell...

What you can touch and feel. 
and your intuition.

Intuition that is derived from your perspective.

Again... Everyone has a different perspective. 
And there can be more than one right answer. 

Listening to other perspectives 

Will enhance your view of the word around you. 
But always question everything. 
Think for yourself. 

Someone else may provide greater insights.

Higher Beings

All civilizations speak of them... and that they will return someday. 

One pain at a time

Funny how you can only feel one pain at any given moment. The greater the pain... That's the one you will feel.  And when that subsides, you'll feel the lessor pains... and so on. 

Most recently... this topped my pain list.

Clearly I have more serious pressing issues then this. Even though, in that moment of intense pain, everything else seems completely irrelevant.

Yall be healthy and pain free.

Beliefs

Beliefs...

They're like the old saying...

Don't do as I do... Do as I say.

Religions are great for telling others how to live and what to believe...

While they have done, and continue to do exactly what they want, contrary to how they are telling others to live. 

The abortion issue is in the news again. Christianity and the sanctity of life. Now there's a mother  contradiction of all time. Especially when you consider that religions, including Christianity, has killed more people than anything in the history of the world. Its a bloody past that held no sanctity for life for anyone that didn't believe as they did. But now they want to take a standon the high ground, shouting to abolish personal rights to abortion... while other more pressing sanctity of life issues are ignored. 

Religions also tell you what to think, how to feel, who to blame, who to hate, who to oppress & persecute, and that freedom of religion means that they are free to force their beliefs upon others. 

I've never understood the entire pick and choose for how to live their lives when there are hundreds of contradictions in the teachings.

Just like religions pick and choose who to judge.

Wait, wasn't there something written about judging others?

And if you are not judging them,

how can they condemn others...

Or tell them how to live?

I know... it can all be easily explained... as always.

But this too...

Can be explained. 

I'm a big believer in freedoms.

Especially...

Freedom from Religions.

Don't tell me how to live my life. 

You do what's right for you. 
Stop trying to control others. 

This is not a controversial post. 
Unless you feel you have the right to tell others how to live.

Then I guess you would see this post as being controversial. 

Go figure.
