US healthcare

US Healthcare...

Healthcare Services are getting worse.

At one time the United States had some of the best Healthcare in the world, unfortunately those days are gone and fading fast. Healthcare facilities were under staffed before... after covid things have gotten much worse. Covid by nature of the virus, stretched medical care beyond it limits. Those close to retirement got out sooner. Others simply left due to the stress of under staffing and the risks involved with the virus. It takes several weeks to get appointments and when you do itva quick get you in, get you out.  Many times not really addressing your problem or sending you to another specialist which takes several more weeks for an appointment. Coupled with the practices of the day... give you a pill, treat the symptoms,  and never address the cause of the problem. And with the get them in and get them out quick service... it easy to think that there's no personal connection... seemingly as if doctors really don't care. I certainly hope that's not true, it's just the rush of getting people in and out so quickly and moving on to the next patient it makes it seem that way.
Adding to the issues, everything locally has gone to appointments only... no walk-ins. Even the urgent care doctors are appointment only. The only walk-in facility is the hospital... and we all know how that goes. Unless you are dying there will be a several hour wait.
