After four years of battles & death. 

Fighting & Deaths

Bloody battles

The finality of war. 

History is what it is... history.

Learn from it what you will. 
It can not be changed.

Perspectives may differ. 
But facts... The results... 

are written in blood.

Ghosts from the past...

Then there's our cancel culture.

Those that are offended by history.

Those that pick and choose to believe what they will,

and despite the facts, choose to erase history. 

While salvery was the motive by southern leaders,

Land owners, politicians,  and the wealthy...

The vast majority of southern soldiers

were Not fighting to preserve slavery,

They fought to break away from northern government, 

Northern government that seeked to 

govern and control the southern states. 
Southern soldiers could care less about slavery,

and clearly would not risk their lives for mere slaves.

  
The North entered the war and for the first two years 

Fought to preserve the union... the united states. 
They were not fighting to abolish slavery.

Like southern soldiers, northern soldiers were 

not fighting over slaves.

Lincoln's proclamation in the 3rd year of the war

add the the slavery issue.
  

Today's Cancel Culture

would desecrate monuments & graves,

with the belief that they are striking out at

those that supported slavery.

Any reference to anything confederate is offensive.

and must be desecrated & destroyed.

They believe that destroying history 

Will somehow better their lives today. 

We live in a society where everything offensive.

Therefore it must be destroyed & forgotten. 

How does destroying history 

make anyone's life better today? 

They even stopped teaching 

about the civil war in school, 

as not to offend anyone.

WE HAVE LEARNED NOTHING.

except to create turmoil & drama,

and divide society.
