Written as being factual & absolute. Then with new discoveries, history is rewritten. The term "Rewritten" seems far less objectionable than to say... Everything you were taught you about history was wrong. Then there's the perspective that history is written from. History is written by the victor's or if you prefer a conquerors, that write history from their perspective... generally portraying them in a good light, rather than exposing questionable deeds.
And now, even today, history is written from a tainted perspective. Of course, then there's today's news thats written into history, as told to you by government and politicians... and if you believe anything they tell you... well, you know the answer to that. Even the news media taints the news from their own perspective. Moreover, telling you what to believe, how to feel, and who to blame. Oh, and how to think.
I enjoy learning about history, but always remember... there is much more to history than what we were taught. Much more that what we know. And much more than the powers to be are telling us.
Written history always has an agenda...
Particularly in religious history.
History is not as it seems.
Ancient history is always interpreted
by the perspective of those that find the evidence.
Especially in religions.
Just keep thinking...
