Philips

Philips Company
A well known company that markets a multitude of products. They have been around for a long time. I'd say a pretty good name particularly in electronics.

AS REPORTED BY NUMEROUS MEDIA OUTLETS...

Most recently hundreds of thousands of people, worldwide, have been put at health risks due to negligence related to medical equipment, including but not limited to Cpap machines.

This particular issue with cpap machines hit home with me, I've used cpap machines to sleep at night for 20 years.  They produce constant positive air pressure to endure proper breathing while sleeping,  namely to keep blood oxygen levels in normal ranges, preventing a stroke while sleeping. Additionally, to provide a proper restful sleep.

I have used Philips equipment for all of those 20+ years. Respironics RemStar Lx, Respironics system one, and Respironics Dreamstation. Like every one using their medical equipment, one should be able to rely on healthy performance... after all, it is medical equipment.

It been 30 months since a drastic health risk associated with Philips Cpap equipment was brought to light. The noise reduction foam inside the units was breaking down releasing carcinogenic particles and fumes directly into customers respiratory system. Worse yet, Philips knew about the problem 2 years before that... and did nothing the alert the public, nor correct the problem. Not only was people put as risk,  but many suffer long-term debilitating effects directly  from the carcinogenic materials being released by their faulty medical equipment. Philips knew, and purposely negligently took no action.

Once the problem was brought to light, a recall was issued. 30 months later a some people as still awaiting replacement equipment. Most got Dreamstation 2, or refurbished Dreamststion 1 within 18 months of the first recall.

Major lawsuits and settlements ensure.

As for myself, Philips turning a blind eye to defective medical equipment... knowing the was a health risk... and letting people continue to use that equipment as it poisoned their lungs and body,  evey night for 8 hours, for years... All to make profits.

Using Philips medical equipment...
is like Rolling the Dice.

I'm not one to promote a boycott of Philips... use your own judgement for that. FOR MYSELF I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT MADE / MARKETED BY PHILIPS. They knowingly let me, and hundreds of thousands of others use their equipment despite the toxic health risks. I have sinus issues, lower blood oxygen levels, and trouble breathing during physical activity. And yes, I blame Philips.
Philips gave me a replacement of a Dreamstation 2. A cheaper made ill designed unit to replace by well made (except for the foam) Dreamstation 1 that was only 18 months old. The DS2 is overheating with the smell of burning. Hope it can last until March 2025x when insurance will buy me a new unit. It will NOT be  Philips cpap.
Looking forward to a new ResMed unit.

It's an ongoing nightmare for many.

Just one of the stories...

Ticks

Ticks seem to be bad this year.
Be careful & vigilant.
Growing up they seemed to be no big deal.
Perhaps we didn't know much about the danger.
Lime Disease
Dire consequences if infected.

Thinking

Deep thoughts.. Thinking...

Including... Dessert.

How and when...

How and When did people change?

I grew up in a different world. Everything was simpler and easier. Yes there was things that seemed wrong, but like the old saying... we had the instilled mental and emotional ability to ignore and forget about things that we could not change... And move on with our happy life.

All that had changed... Completely.  For those under 50 or so, they live a tortured life of being annoyed, bothered and offended by everything. Big things, small things, and especially everything that has no affect on their life whatsoever. And everything in their personal life including the the smallest and most  insignificant little things is a source of major irritation that keeps then in a constant state of aggravation.

They are their own worst enemy that steals away their ability to simply be happy. Not all the time, but clearly they are annoyed at least twice every hour... of every day... week in and week out... ongoing.

Maybe they will someday realize that happiness is in their hands, but like the addict, they are addicted to self aggrivation, and have gone so far into their addiction to turmoil... Nothing will ever change.

Bothered, annoyed, offended and angry with the world.
An existence filled with drama.

Drama over history... offended by history.
Angry over history from 160 years ago.

Will they ever find happiness?

I'm not hopefull for them.

As for myself... I can't be sucked into their drama.

Cravings

We all have cravings
Pretty easily satisfied.

Then there's the ones we can't satisfy.
Things not available.. like geographic delights.
Things only available some place you are not.

Unique in quality and taste
Only available in one place.

Smoked Turkey Legs
at Disney World
Particularly Magic Kingdom

Delicious and messy

1960s survival

It's the 1960s... surviving the food

Somehow home cooked meals are slipping away.

Dads working, moms working,everybody's busy.

The quick a easy newest solution.

Tv dinners..
A complete meal... just pop it in the oven
and everyone got their favorites in minutes.
Okay... the least of the evils.
They all seemed to come with peas.
I hated peas.
Corn wasn't much better.
Then there was the peas, carrots, and corn mix... yuck!
And the new and ever popular... Instant mashed potatoes.

In many cases, worse than fast food today,
If that even seems possible.

How did we survive this stuff.

Key to happiness

The Key to Happiness...

Even when adult serious situations are forced upon you,
Keep the inner playful carefree child in you.
Disregard drama as if it doesn't exist.
Too serious... walk away.
And when you retire let the inner child in you flourish.
There's a reason why it's called a second childhood.

Ancient

Ancient beliefs relived
Seems very true.

Day or Night

Nature... Day or Night?
It would be hard to choose...
thank goodness, I don't have to.

Nighttime...
As the sun sets

It quiet alone time...

The Moon is special...
Moon gazing...
As people have done
for thousands of years.

Being awake at 3am
Really doesn't bother me.

Daytime...

Communication

Communication is the key...

Made in....

Made in...
China, Hong Kong,
Singapore, Vietnam, Korea,
Malaysia, Indonesian...

Good or bad?
Prices here... good.
U.S. Economy... probably bad.

Hundreds of billions dollars goes to other countries.
Building their economies.
While depleating ours.

Virtually most durable goods are made in other countries.

U.S. companies moving manufacturing to other countries.

Other countries, like China, buying U.S. companies.
Buying big American companies.

It's a downhill trend... Going faster.

Can anyone see DANGER?

American consumers & American companies
Are financing China economic dominance
And the buying of America.

Amazing Cake

Amazing Cake

Even more amazing...
Harry Potter Themed

Bearly missed them.

I bearly nearly missed seeing them.
A couple of minutes...
Sooner or later.

Disney Gone

There's no gone... Like Disney gone.

Disney is always making changes.
Sometimes,  replacing the old with the new.
Sometimes just discontinued,  stopped, eliminated.

Some things eliminated or stopped
Not compatible with larger crowds.

Some just lost guest appeal over time.
Some due to safety issues.

Some to make room for new attractions.

Probably the most impactful aspect of "things gone"...
They were all memories...
You return and find them... relive old memories.
You return and they are gone...
It's like old memories just died a little.
Somewhat disappointing.

Old favorites, rides, shows, places,
that are simply gone.
Some you get,  some not so much.

Colleges were made at different times... some photos are duplicates.

SpectroMagic Night time parade.
Best parade ever... Replaced with a old tired Electrical Street parade from years ago.
The sorcerer's hat at Studios
Once a park icon... Simply removed. How do you get rid of a park icon?
Mickey & Minnie's houses.
Iconic structures... symbols... Mickeys house. Cleared for expansion.
Archway Christmas  lights at Epcot
Lights & music across the bridge to world showcase.
Simply not put back up with Christmas decoration  cut backs.
Osborne Family Christmas lights at Studios
Discontinued... Spectacular display... Holiday classic.
Studios stunt cars spectacular.
Torn down to replaced with star wars... this I totally get.
Splash Mountain
Re-themed due to political correctness
Night time Electric Parade
Discontinued... crowds to large to accomodate parades.
It was old and  "stale dated" anyway.
Disney Quest
No great loss... but tore down the building... Couldn't repurpose?

(sorry... mistake... I think mouse gear is still there)

Camp Minnie - Mickey
Big time character greet area.
Demolished to make room for Avatar

The iconic highly celebrated Epcot fountain
Once a major dedicated symbol of world countries.
Torn down for Epcot improvements.

The Iconic Epcot Fountain
Symbolic of water from  around.
Family photos there on each visit.

Beautiful and colorful.
And the mist/spray was a welcome cool off on hot days.

So beautiful.

Rides / transportation discontinued
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Transportation at world showcase
Stopped... crowds too large to safely use.

Swan boats at castle hub... Just stopped.

Keel boats... Just stopped.
Popularity and inability to accommodate larger crowds

Canoe bost rides.

2000... ushered in the new millennium
I guess we no longer celebrate the new millennium

Water transport to magic kingdom
Couldn't accomodate large crowds

Free roaming audiotronic dinosaur walking around Animal Kingdom

Baby elephant rescued at the end of the Safari ride

The iconic twin water fall towers
Entrance to Tomorrowland
Replaced with rock formations... go figure.

The lobby at the Polynesian
A Tropical Delight complete with waterfalls
Simply removed to accommodate larger crowds.

The Skyway Ride
No doubt removed for maintenance and safety issues

The best themed fireworks shows
replaced by other shows that were okay... Just not as good.

Did you know?
So disney did not have to take all the flags down nightly.
