Christmas.... number 70 and counting.
Most people say that more and more every year, that it does not feel like the Joyous Christmas of past years. For me, perhaps it's just the sheer number ... 70... The last 20 being less and less merry and more and more lack-luster. But everyone, older and younger say the same thing.... It does not feel like Christmas. Maybe it has much to do that Christmas stuff starts showing up in August... More in September & October... and by November you have been bombarded endlessly and are sick of seeing it all. Come December you are done and all the fun is pretty much sucked out of the holiday. Then there's the whole gift issue... the pressure find the perfect gift to give... and the basically useless gift that you get. It's all too much to be considered fun. Come on December 26th.
