Disney Christmas Parade

Disney Christmas
Day Parade

(spoiler)

As disney parades go, the televised disney christmas day parade is not what it seems. Its a television production. We went to magic kingdom during the filming which takes place not on Christmas day, but early December. The actual crowds viewing the parade are not general admission guests but pre-determined guests with special passes. The parade and special performances are filmed in segments, sometimes filmed several times until they get the "take" they want. In real time, nothing goes smooth as in seemless progressions... so its really nothing to see as a general admission guest. Then its all pieced together for the Christmas day broadcast. Actually, for the regular guest, its a bad day to go to magic kingdom... harder to get around and less to see. For the special admission guests that get to view the production recordings, its rather segmated... exciting from one standpoint, but boring and repetitive as they do takes after takes... wait and do it again... and sometimes, again and again.
But it all looks good on television on Christmas  Day.

Its much better to enjoy the show.
