Here in the central Virginia farmlands we might see high flying jet airliners 4-5 times a day. So high you don't even hear them. Small planes perhaps once a week.
Military planes are very rare... Maybe 1-2 every summer.
Recently there's been a flurry of military fly overs 4-5 a week for a few weeks. Jet fighters, helicopters, and some AC130s. Much lower than commercial airplanes. Helicopters flying the lowest. All hard to miss for the much louder distinctive sound.
Nevertheless interesting to see.
