Big Football Weekend

It's been a Big Football Weekend  

There's always gonna be questionable calls by the NFL officials.

First off... I wouldn't want their job.  Secondly, overall they do a great job seeing and officiating the game.  And it's too easy to second guess them.... Particularly on missed calls or Questionable calls. 
And it's part of the game,  ya just have to live with it. 

BUT.... as the game gets "chippy" and players start throwing punches... the refs need to authority, or use it more, to give players warnings. 1st warning for disqualification ( thrown out of the game).

Or if it's being reviewed by Officials in New York, they need to get control of the game. Throwing punches and forceful shoving should get a 1st warning... next offense, out of the game. Should be the same for unsportsmen conduct, defensive player hits, and targeting. 
Get control of the game. Perhaps warnings that have consequences will be a deterrent for wrong behavior. 

Just my perspective... Your are welcomed to agree or disagree. 
To each their own.

But maybe that's just part of the game too!  ~~~ fight ~~~

Easy chair rocker/recliner.

New Years celebrations on tv.

Midnight champagne & kiss.

Then easy access to comfy bed.

And don't have to endure the cold.

Doctors treat the symptoms for good or bad, but not the cause of the problem. $$$ Prescriptions $$$.

BUYERS BEWARE. 

Then there's questionable pills and supplements that make outrageous claims to offer total cures. $$$

Then there's miracle equipment that also offers cures.  $$$.

All having varying degrees of testimony as to the miracle results.

And everyone is looking for pain relief or a miracle cure.... all at the mercy ... dare I say... scammers.

What will work... What's a scam?

Well... its probably all a scam filled with wishful thinking and false promises that have but only one purpose... to get your money. Get money from seniors that suffer the most, and can least afford the cost.

Between a rock & a hard place. 

So what's left to do?

Same as always.

Eat healthier 

Loose weight

Drink 8 ounces of water/day. 
Keep active.

The health care system has issues. 
Get them in, get them out, give them more pills to treat symptoms. 

False ads for miracle cures... and just because they tell you that their claims are not verified by the FDA... well, that's a big red flag... Don't waste you money. 

If its so good, a miracle in a bottle, send it to me for free... And if it works... Then I'll pay them.

rules or procedures aren't worth confronting a guest over.

You start out trying... then give up.

So... waiting for the NFL game.

Took  a short nap.

That's what I do. 

Woke up... my wife is watching ice hockey.

Not my thing. 
Need I say more?

1 to nothing at halftime... 
 No... It's called intermission

Why intermission and not half time? 
 Because they play 3 quarters.

So they don't even play a whole game. 
( I got the ... "why are you talking to me look)

You know what I mean... They play 3 periods. 
1 to zero... not very exciting. 
(no comment... Not even a look)

So they only get 1 point for a score. 
(no comment)

I guess that sounds right. 
They don't have to run, just glide around on skates. 
It's a short distance... not like it's 100 yards.

They use a big stick, not like they have to hit the, the, pug far. 
It's a puck.

Oh there's a penalty... What no flag? 
Player got a time out in the penality box. 
Oh... I like that... They need that in football.

Personal fowl gets you a time out. 
Unsportsman like conduct... time out.

Illegal hit... time out.

Whatever... I really don't care.

A semi serious topic... Okay, depending on your perspective, its nothing at all or over the top emotionally charged social issues. Perhaps simply a question... " what the hell were they thinking"? Or really... Who's worried about that? Or the every popular social controversial issues arising from politics or religion beliefs. Those being offended? Well, that's per for the social atmosphere today. 

Not withstanding this...

Let's go to the beach and watch the rouge waves crash against the shore... Not danger here. 

Lets ask a political candidate from South Carolina what caused the Civil War between the states.  Really? 160 years ago? Then the candidate is not smart enough to tell them to read the history books,  and ask what bearing does that have in today issues?

Then there's the whole civil war slavery issue from 160 years ago. Come on... Get a life. That's history... no one can change it. Why is that an issue today?  Because prejudice today need not blame the actions from 160 years ago. Todays issues, today's problems, today's solutions have nothing to do the history from 160 years ago. People want prejudice to go away, but historic slavery is the first thing to be brought up so today's failures, shortcomings, and problems has something with which to blame for today's social issues. Prejudice is keep alive from today's issues... not slavey from 160 years ago... as if society owes something based on slavery issues. 

Government give-a-ways... Politics buying votes  via free stuff.

People being offended by everything. 

Stupid people doing stupid things.

Mostly anything is possible... he could go home a find a million dollars under his bed... but there is no probability that this would happen. 

But... given the premises of infinite probabilities. 

Well... You never know.  Just don't hold your breath.

Disney at night

Disney at Night  

No matter what day or which park, when the sun goes down and the night time lights come on, its the most enjoyable part of the day.  The lighting and the colors combined with the sheer relaxing cool off the evening turning the day into a truly magical experience. It's was always our favorite time of the day. Great memories. 

Of course, memories today have a different reality .

Wait a minute

Wait a minute...

Lots & lots of them. 

 I remember the days when premiere rides & attractions 

had an wait time between 20-30 minutes.

Basically walk ons with the old paper fast passes.

Lesser rides about 10 minutes.

And many 5 minutes or less.

Catch them at the right time and rides like

Pirates of the Caribbean and the Haunted Mansion  

Were walk ons... no wait times.

How the times have changed.

Wait times even at Disney... 

ARE NOT MAGICAL. 

I use to say that on holidays and peak times,

that it would take you twice as long to see half as much.

Wait times now... are 3-4 times as long.

Most 2 hours or more. 

You will spend more time on wait lines

Than you will enjoying the magic. 

Rides, attractions, shows, food, snack carts, and stores.

Everything is a wait.

It use to be 90% magic vs waits.

Now... maybe 20% magic,

80% waiting in lines. 

Additionally... prices gave doubled. 
and many things that were once included with park admission 

now have extra charges.

ALL MAGIC COMES WITH A PRICE.

$$$$ and Wait Times. 

Currently...
