As you get older, the need for vaccinations becomes more critical to prevent sickness. Pre covid... there were childhood vaccines (received long ago). And the yearly flu vaccine... which I never got. And that worked out fine... I've never got the flu... ever. But things changed with covid. The likely hood of getting severely sick, having lifelong health issues, or death loomed larger than ever before.
So getting older puts us into a vaccine culture. To each their own about vaccines. My feelings are that given the nature of covid, anyone exercising their right to NOT get the vaccine puts everyone else at risk. But that's another issue.
Senior vaccine culture. Covid #1 shot. Covid #2 shot. Covid booster shot. Then a Covid remastered booster shot. Then there's the shingles vaccine shots, two of them. The current flu shot, which I didn't get, hope I don't regret it. And the pneumonia shot, to prevent severe complications... Still considering this one.
But, back to the unknown side effects. That's the bad part... The unknown possible sides effects... Short term or long term. Personally I find myself for the first time ever, thinking about my own mortality more than ever... as in almost every day. Symptoms of simply getting old... or Today's social health environment... or unknown side effects of the vaccines? Can vaccines physically change you mentally or emotionally? All good questions.
