Disney Special Merchandise

Every so often, Disney offers special limited edition merchandise in the parks for special events. Usually only available in the parks. Incredibly longs lines result to purchase these items. At first there were no limits on how many one person could buy. Resellers flooded the parks to buy large quantities of the special items with the sole purpose of reselling item on Ebay... and jacking the prices way up.

Some would say, free enterprise. Some would say resellers are ripping people off. I agree with the later. 

Most recently,  an item bought in the parks for $20, was being sold on Ebay for $75. The park sells out quickly and the only way to buy the items is on Ebay at jacked prices. Then Disney set limits on how many each guest could buy... Didn't help much.

Special Epcot Anniversay merchandise went on sale ... and again resellers flooded the parks to buy up the new releases... again with the intension of selling on Ebay at jacked prices.

This time Disney got seen smart... also offering those items on line so that everyone can get the items without have to buy from resellers. 

Disney = 1 ... Resellers  = 0 

I just the resellers will be lucky to just recoop what they paid.

Now that's just as shame.
