Restaurants. There's favorites, there's those that are not so much, and those that you couldn't pay me to go there. Which ones will survive current economics. As fuel prices feed record breaking inflation everything... everything is adversely affected. Everything you buy is affected by fuel prices... food prices most notably... and the prices of dining out. So while the economic squeeze is on, eating out is becoming less and less of a priority. Especially as restaurants have to raise prices because of their costs, just to stay in business. A double hit... less spendable money to dine out, and much higher prices when you do. Most barely survived Covid, the economy and inflation could be the last straw. We have greatly reduced dining out. Pre-covid 2-3 times a week. Post covid and current inflation 2-3 times a month. And when we do go, the dining areas are almost empty. Just one more way that social life is changing... Probably forever.
Which restaurants will survive?
It's truly a shame, perhaps even a disgrace, that Congress continues to pursue political agendas rather than addressing pressing economic issues.
