G.B.&C.

G.B.&C….. The Good, the Bad, and the Controversial.

controversy

Blogs are not always about the good… or perhaps that’s just my perception. Mine’s about 98% about the good.

The Bad… yep, sometimes it’s just gotta be about the bad. Something that’s happened that’s just plainly wrong by anyone’s standards.

That only leaves the Controversial. Generally I try to avoid the controversial. Hot topics like politics and religion. So what’s the controversy? Well, it’s as old as time itself. One person or group has their beliefs, which is perfectly okay… the problem comes in when they want to impose their beliefs upon others. And when they can’t, they want to judge them, convict them, condemn them, and socially incite prejudice and persecution against them. Worse yet is when they do it in the name of Religion. Of course, they always want to wrap themselves in the American Flag, or jump behind a Religious Cross to justify their cause and their beliefs. If any one opposes them, their next ploy is to advocate their Rights to Freedom of Speech, and Freedom of Religion… which is solely to enlist the backing of the shortsighted public, that will unwittingly rally to the great injustice that is being done to them (not seeing that they themselves want to persecute and deny others their rights). To further their cause they want to politically control the laws so that if they can not convince others the follow their beliefs, then they will legally, by law, force them to conform to what they want. Kinda sounds like what we have been taught to believe happens in foreign countries. Certainly America should not be viewed in this way.

Now… go back a slowly reread that last paragraph. Let it digest and sink in.

So why does so many people blindly, without thinking follow those that would do any of this?

What ever happened to the premise of “Separation of Church and State”?

What ever happened to “Live and let live”?

What ever happened to “simply agree to disagree”?

I certainly don’t know?

If this was written about a different country, with a different culture, with a different religion, I guess we would be told to label them malcontents, radicals, or extremists… and condemn them! So what do you call it when America’s so called Christians, right here in America do this? It’s no wonder why people think that America is moving away from religions? And why do the religious look down on the fact that religion is on the decline in America, and can not see that what they do is the cause of the problem? … and blame something else! Like I said before, thank goodness that most Christians do not follow this practice or belief… it’s just a shame that the most outspoken and vocal, those that would condemn and persecute others, get the biggest media coverage, and lack any tolerance what so ever. They, that call themselves Christians, are creating a divided country moving away from religion. Think before you blindly follow them… and what they do, or stand for!

So when I write about something controversial…
it’s not to change your mind or belief…
it’s just to get you to think about it!

Especially before you decide to back someone that would use every means possible to persecute and condemn others.

Just analyze the issue and think about it from all sides.

Don’t be a blind follower.

A thought about the political.

If you want to jump on the political soap box to shout at the top of your voice, everything your hate about the other party, or love about your party, or hate about the President… go right ahead, that’s your right! Just do it from the standpoint that others have the right to agree or simply disagree.

If you want to shout out your dissatisfaction and convictions…

then get out there, in the public, in the political camps,

and actively do something about it!

Otherwise… you are just complaining!

Quit complaining!

and do something!

really do something!

No one wants to hear complaining!

Especially on Facebook!
