Left to Die in the Woods

a Ashes to ashes… dust to dust… or should I say rust to rust. There are many treasures to be found as you walk through the woods. The beautiful trees, abundant wildlife, lakes and streams… and if you are lucky perhaps a waterfall. But than there’s always the unexpected. a (1) Old cars and trucks don’t always go to a cold, crowded, depressing place … aka… a junk yard… to find their final resting place. The woods is a beautiful place… so what better place to slip away… or to put it another way… rust away… than a beautiful setting. I a (2) guess we all have a favorite car from our past… and rusting away in the woods seems to be such a waste. But someone thought enough of their once beloved car to put them in such a wondrous place. But it’s kinda like seeing the grave of someone you love… anda (3) inconvenient remembering… perhaps better than having no final resting place at all. Or maybe… simply… it is … what it is. The car just quit running right in this very spot… someone planned to fix it someday… and someday never came…. and there you a (4) have it. The mountains seems to be the perfect place where old things… houses… barns…and cars… simply are left to have nature take its course. Twenty years… fifty years… eighty years… one hundred years… sometimes, time seems to … well… take it’s time.a (5) Maybe two hundred years from now they will merely be a discolored spot on the ground… but for now… a solemn remembrance of something that once had a good life and history.
Certainly here in the mountains things are a little different… you can decide… better ora (6) worse. Nature does it’s part and embraces the cars to make them is own. Farewell… rest thee well… to past friends that were once part of a special family.
We bid you…Adieu!
You are still a treasure to be appreciated.
