Change

Your thought of the day…

yrrryry

It’s always been said… The only thing that is certain is change… everything over time changes… everything! Old things fade away, and whether they be good or bad, they all fade away. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year… and on a much grander scale, lifetime after lifetime, and still larger, century after century, and eon after eon. The rate at which things change is happening at an ever increasing pace. The further you go back in time, the slower the changes took place… generations after generations lived their lives exactly as the one before them. Now days, drastic, life altering changes, take place in only a few years. Truly amazing the more you think about it. Inventions and discoveries have made dramatic changes in our lives very frequently. Just think about what has changed in the past 50-60 years, and how fast it has changed in the last 10-20 years… or even just the last few years. What will we discover or invent in the near future. What will we learn.

The internet gives everyday people access to information that a mere 50 years ago was only available to the best college educated scholars. Information on everything from history, philosophy, science, to technological advancements. Years ago, teachings and books were the basic learning sources… limited in availability and scope the more you go back in time. But the internet gives everyone unlimited access to unlimited knowledge on everything the mankind has learned, discovered, or developed.

What a world we live in today. What will tomorrow bring into everyday life. Sometimes I’m simply amazed!  But like with everything… making the most of changes is entirely up to you. Embrace the new… remember the old… cherish the memories. And sometimes even reminisce about times that seemed so much less busy, less hectic, and less stressful… simpler times… when  life was easy.

The final consideration? … live life to the fullest each day… for many changes are coming. Perhaps for the better or perhaps not… but coming, and coming faster then ever.  So enjoy each day… family, friends, adventures, and the still simple things in life… like the beach. Picking up seashells takes you back to a simple place… enveloped in a time that seems constant in this ever changing world. Places in nature that you can envision being exactly where someone stood hundreds of years ago… seeing and doing exactly what you are doing there today. PS: Don’t forget to take lots of photos… they keep memories alive!

Yep… Toes in the Sand! Life is Sweet!
