Memories

Reflections of a Life on the Road.

Moving forward there are always new adventures, new places, new friends, and new memories… but looking back, and thinking of times gone bye… ahhh… all the memories. It’s a quiet morning, just sitting here watching the sunrise. One of my favorite things is to reflect on some of the days gone by, thinking about all the wonderful times, people and places that have enriched our lives. Time stands still for no one, but every once in a while I can’t help but think how nice it might be to relive portions of your life over and over again, and make it last a bit longer. But reality has a different plan, and life goes on. Life is filled with special places, filled with all those special moments with family and friends. Rving certainly has it’s share of those special people and places. All great memories… but the nature of Rving… people and the rv’s are always on the move. Everything changes over time. Some things and places that were once part of those great memories will never be the same again. But ya always have the memories. I can see all the smiling friendly faces, and remember all those wonderful times. Too many to ever try to mention here… but all those Rving friends, all the workamping friends, and all those good times, yall know who you are, and be assured they you are thought of fondly, and were part of the most memorable times of our lives. In my mind I can still see your smiling faces and hear your laughs. Some have moved on to other places, some retired from Rving, and some are no longer with us. So here’s to all the great memories and the folks that made it possible… ya know who you are. Perhaps for those still rving, our paths will cross again as we create new memories in new places. I raise my coffee cup to the rising sun, and toast to more great times together, and the memories of times past. The lesson in all of this? Make the most of relationships with family and friends, and enjoy every minute of the places you go, and the people you share your life with. Ya never know how long those “today’s” will last, or if you will have them again. Thanks for the memories! Of course, the greatest joy of my life is sharing all this with Shelly, the love of my life.
