Like & Share

What happens when you…
“Like” & “Share” on Facebook.
Interesting reading.
Check it out for yourself… and think twice before you “Like & Share”
pages and entries from unknown origins
.
Possible dangers of those that “Like” unknown posts
”Share” unknown posts or
“Comment” on unknown posts
Comments on… word puzzles or  “just causes”  to repost,
or comments on the ever popular
”most of my friends won’t repost this”
Something to think about…
before you are compromised
or your friends are compromised…
or hacked or hijacked.

Not to mention all the information that big brother Facebook
is gathering on everything you do.
All the data, all the things you like, places you go,
things you do, who you associate with,
who’s your family, who’s your friends,
info on anything about you.

Infections, Trojan horses, hijackers…

Google it… and…
Check it out… and think before you “Like” or “Share”
from unknown posts…
or comment on unknown posts…
or repost (share) good causes.
If you follow “links” on “shares”
remember…
There is Evil under the Sun… and thriving on Facebook.
Beware!

Having said all that… I love the ability to keep in touch with family and friends via Facebook. The casual connection that pops ups every so often to let everyone know…. “Hey, I’m alive, you’re alive, and life is sweet”.  I like all the personal insights into what’s happening in their life (without giving away too much personal info, security ya know), and what interests them. Fulltime Rving and all the varied paths that Rvers take, it’s really nice to keep in touch via facebook. It’s nice to see what others have a passion for. Smile with them when they are happy, a kind word when something goes wrong. Brighten their day with a funny story, or plan a time to get together should our paths be crossing. See who’s where and what they are doing. Yep, keep everyone from loosing touch and drifting apart. Ya may not be near each other, and be states apart, but there’s that thread that keeps you together, and that’s nice. So there are many positive benefits. Just keep in mind that there are some dangers via facebook. Ya never know who will get access, or how they will use the info… or just plainly cause problems for your pc with a virus or hijack your system. Be careful with the latest dangers of liking, sharing, and commenting on posts of unknown origins, and especially careful of using “links” to access unknown places.

A NOTE ON POLITICAL POSTS
I excuse the occasional political posts, but find it redundant to keep posting political stuff repeatedly over and over, week after week, month after month. We all know how you feel. We know the situation, and rehashing it with really isn’t gonna change things via facebook. Plus, there is so much mis-information just to stir up an emotional response, that simply is not true or one sided, or taken out of context to further whatever cause. If you are that passionate or opposed to something political, get off your butt, get off your computer, get out of your house, and get out there and actively do something about it where it really counts and can effect change. Facebook is not a magic wand to change the world. Preaching to the same people, over and over, doesn’t effect change. Basically it just means your are just complaining ... moaning and groaning... and not really doing anything about the issue that you despise so vibrantly. Sorry, no other way to look at it.
