Professional vs Amateur photography

Years ago professional photographers had the knowledge and equipment to take professional quality photos. The average person, the amateur,  had at best 35mm cameras, but on average,  point & shoot instamatic cameras... 125 or 118 film. They'd take their 24 or 36 photos and hopefully at least half would be good, and a few might be acceptional professional quality.  Exposure, lighting, framing, composition was mostly hit and miss.  And once you git your prints, well, you got what you got,  no changes.

Today,  quatity digital cameras and smart phones have automatic settings to produce exceptional photos. And photo programs either on the phone, tablet, or pc,  let you alter photos to create perfect photos, plus add special effects. So the difference between professional and amateur is becoming smaller and smaller. A good eye for framing & composition gives you professional results.   Hope y'all enjoy digital photography.

Plus with digital, the entire digital process is virtually instantaneous. Photo colleges release your creativity.
Special effects are another plus. Enjoy.
