Religions... Ironic.
Of the several religious regions, perhaps the most ironic region is the middle east... the birthplace of religions. Three religions that despite their beliefs and teachings, have repeatedly shown that they can not simply get along. Each others very existance is beyond tolerance. After 2000 years they are incapable of the concept of "live and let live", as well as disregard of their own teachings. They have been at war for those two thousand years... having not learned anything or even following their own teachings or beliefs. You could say not only ironic, by hypocritical. But that's nothing new. Religious teachings throughout history have always been ironic and hypocritical. Judging others as to their own beliefs leading to prejudice and persecution.
Take from it what you will. Perhaps a bit if self examination and self reflection of how you feel.
So, they've been fighting for two thousand years. If they can't find a way to have peace, simply coexist... why should I be concerned about the atrocities of war that they bring upon themselves?
