Maryland Crab Cakes
Like many Marylanders that travel across the country, just because we enjoy different food from different places, we always crave good crab cakes. Generally... outside of Cheaspeake Bay area, you are NOT going to find good crab cakes. We gave up trying after after several major disappointments. No matter the description, especially "Maryland Style crab cakes, or whatever great impression the waiter says about how good they are, don't believe them... they know not what they say. It's not their fault, they just don't know.
It didn't take long to show them photos of good crab cakes on our phone and ask... "does your crab cakes look like this?" The answer is always... wow, no. So we know right away to order something else.
