Once again I have witnessed yet another one of Earths trip around the sun. The joyous celebration as the clock struck midnight was short lived... bedtime was soon to follow. Now at 5am on day one of the new year... nothing feels different. And while reserve optimism is always the order of the day, it's still dark and still cold. I don't feel any better or worse. My personal goals are still the same... no resolutions except to greatly limit my exposure to the news media. Too much controversy and negativity... enough to shake even the most optimistic individual into a higher level despair or depression.
Every year has ups and downs... 2023 was no exception. So here's hoping and wishing everyone, including myself, a wonderful new year ahead filled with happiness and good health.
