It's certainly sad when other countries issue travel advisories about travel to the United States. Violent crime is out of control across the country, especially in major areas of international tourism.
Why is violent crimes on the rise so much. Cause & consequence. The past several years the reaction to isolated police abuse... impling that all police are bad... protested to defund police. Coupled with lack of community support has resulted in a extreme shortage of police officers. Officers retiring, officers leaving high crime areas, and declining recruitment adds to the shortage. And those that are still on duty are under staffed. Police protection down... violent crime up.
New York city, Los Angeles, Chicago, Orlando Florida... all with critical rises in violent crimes. High tourist areas. The near sightedness of protests to defund police and lack of community support... cause and consequences.
