Childhood Classmates
Some sixty years ago, these were the classmates and friends that I grew up with and played with everyday. Developing friendships and social skills. And as some memories fade, the overall concept of growing up in a safe social environment laid the foundations that made us into the people were are today. A community of almost 300 homes... a row home community filled with kids. The perfect way to grow up. The homes were all new and kept always looking great. They say returning to your childhood home can be disappointing. It's true... these 60 years later... the once well kept community is old and in many cases run down and in disrepair. Kinda sad.
And now, some sixty years later, I wonder how many classmates are still alive. And how their lives were. Statistically 40% have already passed away (age 70). Sad to think about it. With another 5 years 60% will have passed. And another 5 years, approximately 80 years old, less than 25% will still be alive. All of us, eventually lost to time.

Old school class photos... all the faces... all the memories.
And my 6th grade crush... Sandy.

Cute and full of life.
I wonder how her life turned out.
