Dining Out...

Dining out is becoming less and less of a thing.
The first consideration is how much progress have gone up.
Secondly, threw quality of the food beingb served.
A third,  customers service is a declining priority.
And lastly, living outside a small town is nice and peaceful, but greatly limits the availability of restaurants. Most of which get failing marks for quality and ir service. And there's nothing worse than sub standard quality of food coupled with poor service at higher prices.

So you take the specials where you find them. Specials at fair prices plus good quality and good service... It's a huge plus to entice me to spend money for a quick lunch.

Locally we have a good Ruby Tuesdays,  and the lunch specials are not only at good prices,  but coupled with good quality and good service. One of the few places where I don't regret spending my money. Best part us... They haven't missed a beat yet.

Some other favorite restaurants have recently missed the mark... Unusual for them.

Texas Roadhouse... strike one... hot rolls were good as usual but ran 15 minutes late. Cheese fries were barely warm & cheese was cold, clearly had been sitting a while. Catfish was over cooked dry. Broccoli was cold. Chili was good but mostly sauce with little meat (no beans). So this was a disappointing day.

Popeyes prices up, quality decreasing.

Restaurants with 3 strikes that we are done with.
Red Lobster, once a favorite.
Applebee's, once a favorite.
Olive Garden, once a favorite.
And of course Dominos & Papa John's is terrible.
Pizza Hut... Long time gone.
KFC... Long time gone.
Burger King... Long time gone.
McDonalds... Only good for breakfast.
Hardees... very hit and miss depending on location.

Fast food... pretty much all lacking in quality with higher prices.
The only saving grace in fast food... Chick-fil-A

New favorite restaurant... "Chedders". 4 visits,  all great.

BTW: Those croissants are to die for.
