Panic buying is upon us again.
Winter is coming. Some are stocking up for winter. Some are stocking up because of probable shortages due to Covid. Weekly shopping trips to Walmart and Sam's sees some empty shelves. The egg section was almost completely wiped out. Talking to employees stocking shelves, and what they had to say. Eggs.. Eggs are in the Warehouse, they don't have anybody to load the trucks, and nobody to drive the trucks to get to the store. General items... when replenishing stocks are at the store level, there's not enough employees to put them on the shelf. Then there's the 60 plus cargo ships sitting and waiting to be unloaded. Not enough help to unload ships, no room to unload, and not enough trucks and drivers to transport from the ports. Shortages expected... thus the panic buying... Which will probably get worse.
