Once again

Once again, awake at 2:30 am.

It's become the rule rather than the exception.  A full nights sleep happens only once a week, twice if I'm lucky. Broken sleep mostly every night only looks to maps. 10 o'clock... 2 o'clock... 5 o'clock. Naples are 60-90 minutes. Such is life.

Isolation is becoming the norm.  Started before Covid, and increase greatly with the pandemic... And is steadily on the increase. Country life in the farm lands is geographically isolated. Grand girls are now teenagers,  so they have their own interests. Daughter has her work and usually stays busy on the weekends. Connections to distant friends via social media have all faded away as just about everyone has left Facebook  and Instagram.

Work and activities outside are coming to an end as winter approaches... More isolation.

Interests and hobbies are becoming less appealing. Interest in most everything fades away.  You've either been there, done that, or not interested in anything new.

Over the years,  family and friends continue to pass away. Making new friends simply seems to be, well, no desire to make new friends.

Then there's ... well... Not much else.  Except the ever increasing intolerance of drama and controversy.

Such is retirement and getting older.
